Eid Celebration & Tasty Delights
One of the great things about Eid is all of the food, especially after a month of fasting! After attending the morning prayer at the Madina Masjid on Danforth, we decided to get some breakfast at the Golden Griddle on Carlton St. since I had a craving for some Belgian waffles. They had a pretty good brunch buffet, so in addition to waffles I enjoyed some pancakes, taters, hash browns, pasta, and a variety of fresh fruits. Nice! What was funny was that after we got there, we were waiting for over 10 minutes before anyone served us. We felt rejected in the corner table, but when the waitress finally saw us she said "Uh oh!" and then came running and gave me a big hug and said sorry. It was nicest sorry ever, so it made up for the delay. After heading home, we made some veggie samosas and spicy chicken-potato cutlets. The cutlets were amazing, so i'll post the recipe someday so that others in the blogging universe can enjoy these tasty delights as well! Then for dinner, it was time for some Chicken Biryani and Achar Gosht (boneless beef in a thick spicy gravy). Num num! Ok bye for now!
